​Our annual 5K race coming to the Young Hickory Area!!  Where is Young Hickory, many might wonder?  It is actually one of the prettiest country areas tucked back in the hills near Troupsburg!  A long time ago the area was called, “Sladderville” until a traveling peddler came through.  He looked at the area and said, “You folks really need to think about a different name for this area!  It is really nice looking!  Look at all the beautiful hickory trees!”  They listened and renamed it “Young Hickory”.  Now a 5K in this scenic local is scheduled for March 28th to benefit EG Youth Center!  For those who wish to just soak up the scenery the 5K walk will start at 8:20 and for runners it will begin at 8:30!  There will be tee shirts given to those who preregister (and while supplies last the day of the race) and a good number of awards for different age groups male and female alike!  Local businesses have jumped on board to make the day a success and the cause is a worthy one!!  If you are interested email Pastor Adrian Essigmann for an entry form.  adessigmann@yahoo.com
